School board President Kevin Van Hise said the school board was pleased to have reached a settlement with the Lawrence Township Education Association. The school board approved a four-year contract in 2018 with the union that represents principals, assistant principals, supervisors and the athletic director. Contracts between the school board and the union usually are for a three-year period. The new contract is unusual because it is a five-year contract, school district officials said. ![]() The Lawrence Township Education Association also represents nurses, secretaries, child study team members, security monitors, librarians, library assistants, office assistants, athletic trainers, custodians, cleaners and maintenance workers.
